Ludi, Bulbul, Toota, Majid, Reem and I drove an hour and a half to skyline paintball in Strasburg ..
it was SO MUCH FUN!!! even better than Laser tag!
the guns were heavy but it’s ok xP
when we got there it turned out that the only thing they gave us to wear was the head gear,,
clothes not included lool .. but we ended up wearing these jerseys (i thought they were pretty cool xP)
we played 6 rounds,, my team (white team) won three and the blue team won three..
but in capture the flag we caught the flag and returned it TWICE,, they didn’t do that no even ONCE..
we could’ve kicked their asses if we had time -_-’
the fields were GREAT!!!!!!
i felt like i was inside Call of Duty xD
and in the Castle field,, it felt kindda like Resident Evil,, when u run in the woods to get to the castle and at the same time looking out for the enemy xD FUN FUN FUN!!!

Today we went to visit the mansion,, it was snowing,, and a bit cold,, but non the less BREATHTAKING!
my favorite part was the walk through the woods in order to get to the mansion,, it was a very VERY beautiful walk..
and the history of the two families that lived there was very interesting..
from the inside we could see the original furniture and some of the original clothes..
a brief walk into the lives of the richest and wealthiest families in the american history..
what was really cool also,, is that the children (which were not young, they were young ladies and gentlemen, some were married) out of boredom made themselves a mini movie and you can watch it inside,, it was very funny xD
the Carters lost the house after the Civil War,, their money became worthless,, and because slavery ended, they had to pay their 128 slaves that they owned to keep their crops,, so they had to let that go too after selling most of their land,,, but that didn’t cut it,, so they ended up selling the house for a new family to move in, The Eustis family.
there is also a beautifully designed garden, Carter’s smokehouse, Greenhouse, Dairy, Carriage house, Bank Barn, Oak Grove …
but we only got to the mansion then we had to head back home due to a storm that was coming,,
hope we visit there again

هو نظام تشغيل مفتوح المصدر ..(احد توزيعات اللنكس)
أوبونتو هي كلمة افريقية تعني “الانسانية نحو الاخرين”
من اشهر نظم التشغيل المفتوحة المصدر
يعمل على الاجهزة المكتبية, المحمولة و السيرفرات

الحكاية و ما فيها ان
صارلي تقريبا سنتين استخدمه و اكتشفت انه شي جميل
جنبه الويندوز يصير حاجة سخيفة جدا 
من اكثر من 5 سنوات و انا نفسي اجرب اي نظام من لنكس,
ولكن الي خلاني اتردد: اولا ما كان عندي الخبره الكافية
ثانيا انه كان يبغاله شغلاانه و نعمل بارشال و اشياء كذا طويلة..
(صبا)
1) ان في طريقة جدا سهله لتثبيته والي رح اشرحها بعد شوي
2) انه يشبه كثير نظام تشغيل الماك, و انا “كنت” ناويه احول على الماك
فقلت فرصة اجرب في هذا
طلع احسن من الماك و البي سي
ليش؟
1) مفتوح المصدر
2) مجاني
3) ببلاش
4) من دون فلوس
5) فيه كللللل البرامج الي تخطر على البال و اقواها و اكرر و اقول من غير اي قيمة مادية = ببلااااش
6) سريع جدا جدا في التشغيل 
و ما يعلق ابد ابد ابد
7) حماية عالية, مستخدمي الاوبونتو يعتبر من شبه المستحيل اصابتهم بفايروس.. حتى لو كان عندهم ملف فيه فايروس,, فهم يقدرو ينقلوه للناس الي تستخدم ويندوز من دون ما هم يتضررو.. حتى ما يكونو داريين 
= ما عاد نشتري برامج حماية
8) و انت تستخدمه تحس نفسك انسان متطور 
و الي حاب يجربه ((انصح بشدة)) في طريقة جدا سهله
في شي اسمه wubi
ووبي يسمحلكم بانكم تستمتعو بعالم لنكس من خلال الويندوز,,
و اذا ما عجبكم بكل سهولة ممكن تعملوله ازالة كأنه أي برنامج عادي و انتو في الويندوز
*هو ببساطة عبارة عن مثبت لنظام اوبونتو للويندوز يسمحلكم بتثبيت\ازالة لابونتو مباشرة من سطح المكتب في الويندوز
*يضيف خيار في قائمة البوت boot للويندوز و التي تسمح بتشغيل لينكس
loopmounted partition
*هذا الملف , اوبونتو يشوفه كأنه هارد دسك حقيقي. و بهذه الطريقة ما يحتاج اننا نعمل اعادة تجزئة للهارد درايف
*و في الاخير رح نطلع بسستم لينكس (((حقيقي))) مو خيالي
not a virtual machine!
و الطريقة هي كاللآتي:
روحو لها الموقع
و نزلو الملف
بعد كذا اضغطو على الملف الي نزل ((كانه برنامج عادي))
رح تفتحلكم ويندو زي هذي
الخيار الاول: تختارو على اي ديسك تثبتو النظام..
الخيار الثاني: كم المساحة الي تبغو تحجزوها للنظام..
انا اول ما نزلته نزلته بتقريبا 5 جيجا,, بس بعدين سويت توسعة .. لاني صرت اشتغل عليه و هجرت الويندوز
و ان شاء الله قريبا رح اشيل الويندوز نهائيا و اثبت الابونتو تثبيت جذري
الخيار الثالث: اختيار النظام و الي هو Ubuntu
بعد كذا رح يحمل…. و يعتمد على سرعة الاتصال ..
لما يخلص حيطلب منكم تعملو ري بوت = ريستارت
لما تسوو ريستارت في البداية رح يعطيكم خيار..
تبغو تشغلو ويندوز او اوبونتو؟ << لو تركتوه ما اخترتو شي رح يفتح الويندوز
اول مره يفتح النظام رح يطلعلكم شي زي كذا
عشان اكمال عملية التنصيب…
بعد كذا استمتعو بالتقنية و الاشياء الجميلة *_*

بصراحه البرامج الي فيه جدا حلوه
و ملياااااااااااااااااان برامج مفتوحة المصدر ممكن انكم تنزلوها عليه..

بعد ما صرت اشتغل عليه حسيت بفرق شاسع بينه و بين الويندوز 
كل شي تحت سيطرتك و بكيفك
يعني انت المتحكم و الملك في عالم لنكس الخاص بك 
يعني مثلا .. الشكل 100% تحت تصرفك تقدر تخليه بالشكل الي تبغاه
أول ما تنزلوه حيكون شكل سطح المكتب شبيه بهذا
بس زي ما قلتلكم ان الشكل 100% يخضع لسيطرتكم
مثلا انا سويت سطح المكتب زي كذا
و هذا بعد ما خليت شكله يصير زي الماك leopord
في كمان شي اسمه 3d desktop
والي هو شي روووعة شوفو الصور

So we’ve been in the states for a week and three days now.. I love the place ”Virginia”. It’s old but realy good to be here..
It has a somewhat cold weather ”so far” with some sunny days, but all in all we don’t need to turn on the AC.
trees are EVERYWHERE!!!
Woods are behind houses mostly,, or let’s say the houses are in the middle of the woods :P ”most of them”,, we see deers and squerles running around between houses, they say there are foxes too, but we haven’t seen any yet :)
When you step outside, fresh air greets your nostrails and a cool breeze kisses ur face..
People are friendly in here…
The non American population is massive in here (I’m guessing like %40 if not more)
We still haven’t found a house yet, so we’re staying at this cool hotel ”the Washington suites” I LOVE IT!!
But still we need to get settled down in a real house :/
It’s tough finding a suitable house in he nearby areas because most of them are old houses or townhouses Wich normaly have no more than 3 bedrooms,,, obviously that won’t suite us :P
But one thing I have noticed in their houses! The doors are sooo tiny! And the stair steps are so small and short!! Even too short for my tiny feet! The halls inside the house r mostly reeeally narrow! And everythig is so small!!! Given that the Americans are BIG ppl!! I don’t know how they function in their own houses :S
We bought a family car,, so at least we got rid of car rent :)
Educational wise,, we got accepted in a language istutute in VTU,, we start at the 18th,,,
Today I took the IBT TOEFL exam..
It was kindda tough…
Consisted of four parts:
1) reading: had A LOT of heavy vocabulary with various topics,, I’ve read about 5 passages..
The first one kindda confused me cuz when I finished reading it, no questions were shown :S it gave me the next passage, so I don’t know if I did something wrong or was it supposed to be like this :/
The time they give was just enough, and sometimes if u’re fast enough u’ll get like 6 or 7 minutes to review your answers..
2) Listening: which is the most fun of all :P
It consists of two parts, each part has one conversation and two class lectures then you answer some questions.. ”we can take notes while we listen”
3) Speaking: the TOUGHEST of them all!! Really stressfull ”for me at least” consists of 6 parts,,
you listen to a lecture and read a passage and then answer the questions orally! They ask u about your opinion and to give solutions to a certain thing you heard or read :/
4) Writing: two sections, the first one we read a passage and listen to a lecture then we get one question we have to answer in no less than 75 words ( I did really good in this one, was really comfortable with my work in it). Then the second part they ask your opinion in a certain issue and u have to write an essay with no less than 300 words!! This I wrote and wrote, I wasn’t sure if I wrote what they wanted or not, was a but confusing ”cuz one of the main words in the question I wasn’t sure of it’s meaning :S” ..
All in all I think I did ok,, I hope so!
I need to get minimum 90 points out of 120 to get accepted in a university, otherwise I have to retake the exam, and I would miss out on the spring semester :(
So pretty much this is how we’re living so far,, mainly looking for houses and enjoying the weather and the good food :P
